La Divisione Information and Communication Technology nasce come prima Business Unit della nostra realtà e, ad oggi, rappresenta l’anima tecnologica del nostro Gruppo. 

Per meglio capire cosa rappresenti l’IT, citiamo una definizione da Wikipedia [http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_and_Communication_Technology]:

Non risulta [...] facile fornirne una definizione univoca, poiché non esiste una definizione generale e condivisa. L’ICT può essere considerata anche come risorsa essenziale delle organizzazioni, all’interno delle quali diventa sempre più importante riuscire a gestire in maniera rapida, efficace ed efficiente il volume crescente di informazioni. Proprio per questo motivo l’ICT va considerata come arma strategica in grado di mettere a disposizione dati e informazioni qualitativamente migliori nell’ambito dell’organizzazione, e grazie alle diffusione della tecnologia e dell’interconnettività, può ai utare le organizzazioni a ridefinire i propri rapporti con clienti, fornitori e altre organizzazioni attraverso il cosiddetto IT Service Management (ITSM).

I professionisti ICT sono caratterizzati da molteplici capacità di intervento, dall’installazione alla progettazione di architetture telematiche, dalla gestione di basi di dati alla progettazione di servizi integrati per la convergenza di informatica e telefonia nella telematica per i nuovi metodi di trasmissione dell’informazione.

L’Information Technology è anche un ambito di studio che si occupa dell’archiviazione, dell’elaborazione o trasformazione e della rappresentazione delle informazioni con l’aiuto del computer e delle tecnologie a esso connesse. Rientrano in quest’ambito lo studio, la progettazione, lo sviluppo, la realizzazione, il supporto e la gestione dei sistemi informativi e di telecomunicazione computerizzati, anche con attenzione alle applicazioni software e ai componenti hardware che le ospitano.

La nostra Divisione IT si occupa quindi prevalentemente degli aspetti tecnici legati all’informazione, a partire dalla comunicazione e dall’elaborazione della stessa. Poichè l’elemento distintivo per il nostro Gruppo è però proprio l’approccio “orizzontale” alle attività che seguiamo, il confine tra Business Units non è netto e gli stessi collaboratori nelle nostre Aziende hanno spesso a che fare con almeno due Divisioni nel proprio lavoro.

L’Information and Communication Technology è oggi quello che si può considerare il fulcro di ogni realtà aziendale (e sociale) in quanto l’informazione e la sua efficace e fluida circolazione costituiscono da ormai vent’anni il motore del Business ad ogni livello.

La Divisione IT del Gruppo MAASI ha come obiettivo rendere trasparente ed efficiente tutta l’infrastruttura di gestione ed elaborazione dell’informazione, al fine di fluidificarne ed ottimizzarne l’utilizzo da parte dei nostri Clienti sempre in relazione al loro Core Business.

 

The Information and Communication Technology Department was the first Business Unit born in our society and today represents the Technological Core of our Group.

It is not [...] easy to provide a precise definition, since there is no general and widely shared definition. ICT can also be considered as an essential resource for the organizations, in which it becomes very important to be able to handle quickly, effectively and efficiently the increasing volume of information. For this very reason, ICT should be considered a strategic weapon, able to provide better quality data and information within the organizations, and thanks to technology’s spreading and interconnectivity, can help organizations to redefine their relationship with customers, suppliers and other organizations through the so-called IT Service Management (ITSM).

ICT professionals are characterized by a variety of intervention skills, from installation to design telematics architectures, from managing databases to designing integrated services in order to converge computing and telephony into new methods for the electronic transmission of information.

Information Technology is also an area of study that is dealing with the storage, processing or conversion and representation of the information, with the aid of computers and the technologies related to them. Part of this area is study, design, develop, implement, support and manage computerized information systems and telecommunications, with emphasis to the software applications and the hardware hosting them.

Therefore, our IT Department mainly deals with technical aspects related to information, starting from it’s communication and elaboration. Since the distinguishing feature of our Group, however, is this “horizontal” approach to our activities, the line between business units is not clear and our collaborators in our Companies often have to deal with at least two Departments in their work. 

The Information and Communication Technology is what today can be considered the fulcrum of every company and society, as the information and its effective and smooth circulation are, for the past two decades, the engine of Businesses at all levels.

The objective of MAASI’s Group IT Department is to render transparent and efficient all the infrastructure of the information management and processing, in order to liquefy and improve their use by our customers, always in relation to their Core Business.
